In Behalf of God ..

Playing God, is one of the most irritating behaviors and commonly found in the middle east. Although Islam is a religion believes in the existence of only god in control with the ultimate power, yet many people speak in his name to justify what are they saying. People interested in self believe that saying “please” at the end of a sentence increase the chance of getting what has been asked for, also they said that giving a reason regardless of its nature help receiver to justify the request. Likewise adding god in whatever you do in the middle east make it acceptable and justified.

Your thoughts are the architect of your destiny
David O. Mckay

One very obvious example of that, when a person does something wrong, he would probably say that what happened is god’s wish. In a worse situation, if someone cased you a trouble, or but you in position that you are losing because of his own decision, he would say its maybe the god’s wanted this to be happened and he has no control on god, moreover he would require you to accept that and stop arguing about it.  And people tend to go with this because they believe in destiny and many of them fail to put a line between destiny and wrong judgments and attitudes.

Hence, people tend in developing their speeches in this region to prove that its come along with god welling. which Ironically would falsely indicate that most of people are just as smart and as good as god ! Ha?

This behavior might be found also in political- sociological level, when leaders of society try to be the men in charge. they would use god to prove that they are whom deserve the political and social authority. they, well, lets say some of them might manipulate the people by translating god’s saying with his own way and to his favor. Therefore Islamic and radical parties usually win in any political competition in this region and thats why democracy is not the best solution for middle east. ( Lebanon Iraq and currently Egypt and maybe Tunis are great examples.

At this point, its worth to mention that many corrupted  politician take their fake legitimacy from similar strategy, but speaking in behalf of someone else,  the people. They would claim that they are speaking on behalf of people, and they demanding people’s demands not their own. Those, on their side are playing angels! whom would do anything for the people for no return. Who would do that these days?

And Its not difficult, you only have to replace “I” with “people” while you talk and you would have the attention and credibility you need. Alwefaq, a major opposition party in Bahrain, recreated the revolution by promoting its on revolutionary  slogan “People demand to reform the regime” instead of “people demand to replace the regime” which were used in the most countries participated in Arab spring. Lately their representative, former PM Dr.Jassim Hussain met auto sports journalists in Bahrain international circuit and climbed that the people are happy and welcoming the F1 race and despite of the fact that people are protesting, tweeting, forming lobbies and interest groups all over the world everyday against the F1. Jassim’s claims went on media in the name of people.

“I can tell you that most people in Bahrain are happy and pleased that F1 is back in Bahrain, given its effects on the economy and the social aspects of it,” said Husain, who resigned in protest during last year’s anti-government demonstrations.

Speaking on the name of God or the people is a total shame, its only means that the speaker has no courage to speak for himself.
